'ON THE STRIP' IN LAS VEGAS
 |
It’s always good to hear from members who take full advantage of the flexibility of Seasons by taking an exchange holiday. And we gather that Jill and David Williams of Castle Douglas in Scotland had a great time when they made a dream come true. |
’Having had a short visit to Las Vegas five years ago, I had always wanted to
return and through Seasons, we were able to do just that! Dave and I stayed at The Jockey Club through the exchange scheme and had a wonderful week ‘on the Strip’.
The Jockey Club is surrounded by new skyscraper buildings still in the process of being built and we had heard awful stories of dust and noise, but were delighted to realise that the worst is over now. The Jockey Club is still dwarfed by the 80-plus storey buildings but the apartments are delightful and you can see the fountains at the Bellagio!
The staff are welcoming and the upkeep of the whole of the Jockey Club is to a high standard. The pool is a no-go as there is no sun because of the surrounding buildings, but this really doesn't matter as you can spend hours on The Strip and then relax in the cool of your excellent apartment before setting forth again. If you want to relax in the sun on a lounger, why are you in Vegas? We will certainly be making a return visit to the friendly and welcoming crew at The Jockey Club.’ |
BRUNSTON'S NEW PLAY AREA
 |
True to their promise to constantly update and improve facilities for all our members, Seasons have very recently installed some exciting new equipment for younger visitors to Brunston Castle resort in Ayrshire.
 |
THANKS TO CLUB TAHITI
|
Yes – it’s another of the Editor’s favourite emails! Yet another one to let us know that one of Seasons staff has gone the extra mile to ensure that our members are well taken care of – even if they are suffering from self-inflicted problems! Lorraine and Mark Lees of the West Midlands were suitably impressed when they visited Lanzarote recently. |
| By the way, we hope that Mark has recovered by now, and let this be an object lesson to all our readers NOT to forget to put plenty of high factor suntan cream on their feet. Remember they are shut away in the dark in your shoes most of the year – so the hot sun comes as a great shock to them! |

A BIG 'THANK YOU' FROM THE PLAYGROUP
The following letter was recently sent to Gill Kaye, Resort Manager at Burn Park near Bude, Cornwall from Sam Houghton, Chairperson of the nearby Stratton Playgroup.
‘Dear Seasons – on behalf of everyone at Stratton Playgroup, I would like to thank you for the generous donation of the Gym/Health Suite Membership that you gave for our Grand Draw first prize at our recent Summer Fun Day. We are incredibly fortunate to have businesses such as yours in the locality who are wiling to donate such crowd-pulling prizes! As a result, ticket sales from the Grand Draw and Tombola alone raised over £800.
Once again, we were very lucky with the weather and various stalls and activities on the day, and the takings from all of these combined to give us a grand total of £1,326. This is a great achievement for such a small organisation and we appreciate that much of this success can be attributed to the generosity and support of local businesses. Our fundraising is even more important this year as it will be invaluable for purchasing new, much-needed furniture, toys and other resources to be used by the children and staff. Many thanks once again for the support you have given to Stratton Playgorup and for helping make our day such a huge success.’ |
WINNER |
|
The very first winner of this month’s best entry to the new myseasonsholidays.com site is Andrew Hutchinson (far left), whose letter also appeared in last month’s newsletter. His story gives a great example of how flexible Seasons Holidays are, as he used his Dad’s membership to take a group of family and friends to enjoy a fantastic holiday at Club Tahiti in Lanzarote. |
| As a prize, Andrew will be receiving a FREE short break at his choice of Seasons UK resorts. And next August, the entry judged to be the year’s best entry from all of the monthly winners will win a Bonus Week for six! So keep those holiday emails rolling in! |
CAN YOU BEAT THE SUNBED INVADERS?
 |
As a follow-up to a recent article in this newsletter, you should have received a email inviting you to play our exclusive, fun new online game ‘Seasons Holidays Sunbed Invaders’.
The game is based on the ‘Space Invaders’ concept with a holiday twist. Players take control of a holiday maker and the main aim of the game is to keep the sun loungers clear. Players can choose from a male or female character to control and can customize their sun beds.
|
Using a water hose, players must soak the oncoming people with water and blast them back into the pool to stop them taking over the sun loungers. At the end of each game scores can be entered on to a leader board the top ten highest scores are shown.
If you missed it, please click on the link below. If you have already played it, why not try to beat your own score and have even more fun by sharing it with your friends and seeing who is at the top of the leader board?
Apart from simply emailing the link, you can also add it to your profile on facebook, twitter, delicious, digg, reddit, stumbleupon, google and yahoo. We hope you and your friends, family and colleagues enjoy playing Sunbed Invaders as much as our ‘test’ readers have. Good luck!
