SEASONS HOLIDAYS NEWSLETTER DECEMBER 2009

SEASONS GREETINGS
As we rapidly approach the end of what has been another challenging and difficult year for many, we hope that, despite all, our members found their Seasons holidays were still just as enjoyable as ever!  As you read in this monthly newsletter, members are often prompted to write and tell us about members of Seasons staff at the resorts or in Reservations or Guest Relations
who have gone the extra mile with a big smile to make sure members have the best possible time while they are our guests.

As one of our contributors this month says: ‘Seasons just gets better!” and that’s a tradition we fully intend to keep up.  For now, the directors and staff of Seasons Holidays plc would like to take this opportunity to wish all our members good health, good luck and great happiness during 2010.  Not to mention some more fabulous holidays!

HIGHEST AWARD FOR CLOWANCE

The numerous Seasons members who put Clowance Estate and Country Club at the top of their popularity poll as far as Seasons resorts are concerned will be thrilled (and not surprised!) to see this picture of the presentation of the highest possible award from Interval International.  Resort Manager Michelle Kirk takes up the story:

FOREST HILLS LOOKS GREAT

´Whilst we were on holiday in Costa de Mijas in October this year, we drove down to Forest Hills to see what the resort looked like since its refurbishment. We were shown round by the Manager and were amazed at the transformation.'

SANTA'S SURPRISE WELCOME
In the true Christmas spirit, guests arriving at Clowance Estate and Country Club on Saturday 19 December not only experienced the year’s first sprinkling of snow, but they were also met by Father Christmas and his little elves!  Here they are at check-in.  Father Christmas is of course himself, but his little elves are alias Lyndsay from Reception, along with Sarah, the Assistant Manager.

SEASONS JUSTS GETS BETTER!

It seems that Seasons members are voting with their feet as far as the new Algarve resort is concerned, with lots of bookings already having been made for 2010.  In fact, the following email from Mr & Mrs Dennis, of Weston Super Mare, is typical – and they enjoyed themselves so much that they have already booked for next year!

So if you are toying with the idea of seeing the new resort for yourself, perhaps you should make sure of your preferred booking by calling Reservations on 01994 42600 sooner rather than later!

SHORT BREAKS IN JANUARY 2010

So now all the razzmatazz of Christmas is over and everyone is feeling a bit flat, how about taking advantage of the fact that there is still good availability at all Seasons UK resorts for short breaks and full weeks in January with prices starting from just £40.  And at that price – how’s that for a brilliant idea?  Simply phone Reservations on 01994 426000 to make your booking!

WHATEVER NEXT?

There are holidays which are perfect from beginning to end – and there are holidays like the one Kathy and Terry Lomax of Exeter had in November. Thank goodness that, as always, at least one member of Seasons staff went out of their way to be ever-helpful and literally ease the pain! As they say, despite everything that Fate threw at them, Kathy and Terry still enjoyed their holiday in the Algarve. We hope that they are both fit and well now and wish them many happy Seasons holidays in 2010.

BRUNSTON PRESENTS SCHOOL WITH TV

Imagine the excitement at Dailly Primary School, near Brunston Castle resort, when Santa arrived with a new flat screen television, generously donated by Seasons Holidays! Resort Manager Norma Docherty explained: “Seasons recently heard that the local primary school was trying to raise funds for a new TV.

NEW SCOTTISH SUNBED LAW

Visitors to Brunston Castle resort should please note that, as from 1st December 2009, the Scottish Government has introduced new rules regarding age groups for the use of sunbeds.  OVER 18’s ONLY are permitted to use sunbeds in Scotland, and remember that proof of age will need to be shown if requested.

EARLY CHRISTMAS IN THE LAKES

We were delighted to hear from Christine Brunning from Shrewsbury, telling us about the ‘Pretend Christmas’ she and Keith took with friends last month.  It’s great to hear that our members use Seasons resorts as a venue for regular meetings with friends and family and a short break is the ideal opportunity, as you will read.

If you’ve been on a similar short break – or indeed on holiday to any of Seasons resorts - we would love to hear about it.  Simply upload your story to myseasonsholidays.com and you could win a free short break, as well as having your story appear on the Seasons website!

BRUNSTON REFURBISHMENT

Norma Docherty, Resort Manager for Brunston Castle has sent us an update on the refurbishment at Brunston.
So far 7 units have had a full refurbishment with 5 more due to be done in January 2010.
Each of the 7 units have had a full revamp including a new kitchen, bathroom, carpets, doors and furniture.
