Whilst all of our resorts offer accommodation and facilities to suit families, we mainly recommend Clowance Estate or Whitbarrow Village.
Clowance Estate boasts a wide variety of onsite facilities great to keep your little ones entertained. This ranges from tennis and badminton courts, to a giant chess board, to a rowing lake and woodland nature trial with teddy bears picnic area. The resort also has scheduled activities during school holidays and children’s outdoor play area.
If you prefer to venture off site we recommend Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium.
Whitbarrow Village is similar to Clowance in that it caters for younger guests. The resort includes a putting green and crazy golf course, a play area and woodland walk, a children’s splash pool and a giant chess board. The Village is also in close proximity to both the Rheged Centre and Keswick Climbing Wall which are jam packed with kids activities and entertainment (and a few to entertain the adults)!
Brunston Castle in Scotland is also a great place for a family break. The site has its own swimming pool dedicated to children; a games room with a Nintendo Wii and giant connect 4 game, an outdoor play park and a unique Lego building table. Culzean Castle and Heads of Ayr Farmpark are also close by for when you fancy an off-site day trip.
Burn Park and Laugharne Park both have children’s play areas, crazy golf, tennis courts and a games room. Laugharne Park is located near to the National Botanic Garden of Wales and the Blue Lagoon Waterpark, whereas Burn Park is near the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and National Marine Aquarium.
We would advise that Knocktopher Abbey is the least child friendly resort, however they do have an onsite snooker table, table tennis table and a tennis court, and is located near the Go With The Flow River Adventures – perfect for wild rides and relaxing boat trips.
