Set in unspoilt
African bush overlooking the Zambezi National Park, the
resort is only 10 minutes from the awesome Victoria Falls,
one of the world’s most breathtaking experiences.
When
David Livingstone first saw them, he was moved to comment: ‘a
sight so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in
their flight’. This is Africa unsurpassed and unspoilt,
the legendary Mosi oa Tunya – ‘The Smoke
that Thunders’.
Here the broad waters of the Zambezi flow placidly to the very brink
of the mile wide, sheer sided chasm. Then, with a primeval roar which
seems to shake the ground, the river cascades 350 feet onto the unyielding
rocks below. The rising spray forms a billowing cloud, its droplets
split by the sunshine into myriad rainbows, then descends and feeds
the dense, tropical rainforest below.
Downstream in the tortuous zig zag of gorges, the famous white water
rafting takes place. The resort offers easy access to river cruises
and kayaking, along with bungee jumping, game trails, horse trails
and guided game drives.
Or you can simply relax around the swimming pool or enjoy a game
of volley ball.
Your rustic thatched lodge combines the simplicity of local Ndebele
designs with all the comforts of modern day living, and there are
magnificent views over the surrounding bush from the private balconies.
