MTC at Lanna resort, Chiang Mai, Thailand
  This peaceful area is renowned for its tranquil countryside and beautiful mountain scenery, yet until recently, few people outside of Thailand had heard of Chiang Mai.  
 

In fact, it is Thailand’s second largest city (although only one fortieth as big as Bangkok!), founded in 1296, and is located just south of the Laos border and the Mae Khong River. Lanna Resort is set in lovely landscaped gardens, located just 15 minutes drive from the international airport in a superb mountain location. This is just close enough to enjoy visiting all the city’s many fascinating sights but far enough away to enjoy the perfect peace of this lovely area.

The best time to visit Chiang Mai is from November to February, which is the cool season. The hottest month is April and the wettest is September.
