  Island Palms is located on Magnetic Island, 20 minutes ferry ride from Townsville across the crystal clear Pacific.  
   
 

Much of the island is designated national park, with eucalyptus woods home to many wallabies, possums and koalas - not to mention the prolific bird population. Townsville is home to the Great Barrier Reef Wonderland complex, the world’s largest coral reef aquarium, and the Sheraton Casino, with shopping complexes nearby.
