Conveniently
situated just 7km from the island’s capital, Arrecife,
Seasons at Club Tahiti is located on Lanzarote’s
beautiful Costa Teguise, in a peaceful setting about
2km from golden sandy beaches. The island is well known
for its wide variety of watersports. |
|
| |
Indeed,
the area is famous for its crystal clear ocean and long
stretches of wide sandy beaches, punctuated by hidden
coves and beguiling bays. So it’s little wonder
that visitors from around the world return year after
year to wind-surf, sail, fish - or simply lie back, relax
and bask in the warm sunshine.
Seasons at Club Tahiti – which is only a short distance from
an 18 hole golf course - makes a perfect centre for exploring this
unique island.
The third largest of the Canaries, known since ancient times as ‘the
Fortunate Isles’, Lanzarote is on the same latitude as California
and the Sahara, which results in a delightful climate all year round,
with over 320 days of sunshine each year. |
|
| |
Despite
its barren, almost ‘moonlike’ landscape,
the island is starkly beautiful and surprisingly fertile,
with abundant local crops, including the grapes which
are used to good effect by the local wine producers!
The fact that tourism was a late starter here has resulted
in many benefits for today’s visitor, with the
island retaining much of its original character and
culture, and local tourism developments being restricted
to traditional low rise, white-washed buildings, designed
to blend in with the natural environment.

Exploring
the area
Costa Teguise is a stylish tourist area on the south east coast of
this unique volcanic island, with exciting plans to create a marina
for 165 boats. Wherever you go, you’ll find a terrific choice
of cafes, bars and local and international restaurants, with seafood
a speciality. |
|
| |
Close
to the resort are three lovely beaches which are usually
uncrowded and a waterpark which is popular with families
and couples alike. There are also shopping centres, tennis
and other sports nearby. Diving equipment and bikes are
available for hire. To make the most of your time at
Seasons at Club Tahiti, we recommend that you take a
Jeep Safari or hire a car, as there is much to see and
enjoy – for all ages and interests.
Some of the island’s other attractive seaside towns are Matagorda,
Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca and Los Pocillos – each with
their own individual character. Papagayo boasts the most spectacular
of the sandy beaches and Famara is a haven for surfers from far and
wide.
One of Lanzarote’s main claims to fame is that it has more
than 100 volcanic mountains, and a ‘must’ is a visit
to the majestic volcanic panorama of Fire Mountain National Park
and the volcano grill, which literally cooks the restaurant meals
by the heat of a dormant volcano. Also well worth a visit are the
incredible volcanic caves of Cuevas de los Verdes and the ancient
capital of Teguise, which features a colourful street market every
Sunday.
In
the wine region of La Geria you can taste the local results
at the roadside bodegas and learn more about the fascinating
method of vine cultivation which is unique to Lanzarote.
For the adventurous, regular cruises run to the sister
island of Fuerteventura, famed for its golden sand dunes
and world-class watersports competitions. |

CLUB TAHITI - is only 20 minutes from Arecife airport.
Taxis are very tourist friendly, polite and inexpensive
(15 Euros includes a generous tip).
Although you may wish to hire a car for a few days, bear
in mind that the island tours are good value and most
enjoyable. |
