TWO MEMORABLE ANNIVERSARIES IN LANZAROTE
Val and Al Willmott of Caerphilly not only had a surprise celebration of their own wedding anniversary at Club Tahiti, their friends enjoyed one too. We hear so much from members about the helpfulness of the staff out there, so keep up the good work!
‘Just had to write to say what a wonderful holiday we had at Club Tahiti. We were there for two weeks at the beginning of June. Our friends, who had arrived on an earlier flight, had been welcomed by Ken and they were sitting at the pool bar when we arrived. We were there last year at the same time and everyone is so friendly you really feel at home straight away. The apartments were as usual spotless and very welcoming. The second night there was our wedding anniversary and our children had rung to see if they could do anything. As we were seated in the clubhouse that evening, Ken said to Chris he had a phone call about our wedding anniversary, they had rung the children and they were on the line to talk to us. Following that surprise, we were presented with a bottle of champagne and it really made our night. The following week, it was our friends’ first wedding anniversary and they too were given a bottle of champagne. They were thrilled. All the staff there really go out of their way to give everyone a really great holiday. They give 100+% no one could ask for more. Chris is superb - I don’t know where he gets all his energy. The pool bar staff, Ken and the team, not forgetting Sean behind the bar - they all get a big thank you from us for such a great holiday. Hope to see you all again next year.’
GUEST RELATIONS TO THE RESCUE
A recent email to the editor from Dawn and Mike Waterman, of Wimborne, Dorset, spells out just how Guest Relations really can help members make the most of their Seasons ownership:
Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our recent holiday at Laugharne. We also enjoyed the male singer Lloyd Davies who has an exceptional voice. My husband (left) and I have been members since 2006 but for personal circumstances and a lack of understanding of the membership, we failed to holiday much before, except for last year at Burn Park. We were on the verge of selling our week, as our family had out grown out of our one bedroom apartment. If it had not been for the helpfulness of both Yvonne Schneck and Carl Callaghan, Guest Relations Manager at Laugharne, we would have missed out on so much. Instead, we not only upgraded to a two bedroom unit but also to a red week and now look forward to many happy Seasons holidays ahead. From now on, if I have any queries, I won't hesitate to call. Thanks!’
BOOKINGS AT CLOWANCE FOR 2007
We are absolutely delighted by the overwhelming support of Seasons members for our decision to purchase Clowance Estate and Country Club. So if you want to visit Clowance during 2007, be sure to book early, as we anticipate a considerable demand for space there.
All Clowance availability will be in our reservations system by Monday, 25th September 2006 and we will be able to accept bookings for 2007 from 9 am on that day. PLEASE DO NOT CALL BEFORE THIS DATE for Clowance bookings, since it is not fair on other members and will only lead to confusion.
Fascinating facts
One impressive fact pointed out to us recently is that Clowance has been an Interval Five Star resort every year since its affiliation back in 1984 – quite a record! Another interesting fact is that the St Aubyn family, whose home Clowance was for five centuries, purchased St. Michael’s Mount back in 1659 and their descendents still live in the now world-famous tourist attraction.
ANOTHER PAT ON THE BACK FOR GUEST RELATIONS
As always, we are happy to receive reports of exceptional service by any of Seasons staff, and this time, you will note that Guest Relations (and Carl Callaghan - pictured left) have been nominated twice by grateful members – once in the story above and now by Ronald Ewing of Mid Glamorgan, who felt moved to write to Seasons Managing Director, Michael Foundly:
‘Forty years in sales and marketing management has taught me to recognise good and bad service in these disciplines. It is with pleasure that I would like to bring to your attention the excellent customer care and service experienced at all Seasons holiday sites we have visited. Worth of special praise is the staff at Laugharne Park. Carl Callaghan, along with Jan, Yvonne and Neil, who look after our needs and enquiries, are truly exceptional. They have shown my wife and I how to maximize the benefits or our investment and membership. Booking short breaks, bonus sunshine weeks or holidays with Seasons, exchanging with Interval International, even hotel bookings, nothing is too much trouble and always given with a smile. I know how difficult it can be to recruit good staff, train them to a level of excellence and retain them so they develop their potential and contribute to the success of the company. Congratulations to you and your people, your work is greatly appreciated.’
DAY VISITS TO CLOWANCE BY SEASONS MEMBERS
All Seasons members living or visiting the vicinity are welcome to visit Clowance for the day and use the facilities, provided they show their Seasons membership card to Guest Relations staff on-site. Green for Go members are also entitled to day visits to Clowance during the first three years of their Seasons membership. Seasons members staying at Burn Park are invited to sample the delights of Clowance for a day during their holiday and again, speak to Guest Relations for details. As Clowance members are aware, only their Gold Card members are entitled to uses the resort facilities year-round. Please note that certain facilities at Clowance involve charges, such as the beauty salon and sunbeds.
£25 WINNING LETTER
FOUR SISTERS HOLIDAY AT ALPINUS
Rosemary Stipta of Luton wrote to tell us of a recent happy family holiday she and her four sisters – who all live in or near Luton – enjoyed recently in the Algarve. Her eldest sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Alan Crain, are also Seasons members and this was the first time the girls had all been on holiday together for over 40 years:
‘In June we had a fabulous time at Alpinus. We are Seasons Members, as are my eldest sister and brother-in-law and we had originally booked two weeks of their time at Alpinus. However, we then offered two weeks of our time to my other sisters and so it was that we ‘took over’ Alpinus in June! We had a week before the other two sisters arrived and it was cold, cloudy and wet. We were praying that the second week would be better - and it was hot and sunny every day. We had a fabulous week when the four of us were together - this was the first time since we were children that we'd all been on holiday together. I hope we didn't cause too much chaos in the Piano Bar moving tables together - there were actually nine of us all together because a couple of friends came along too. Thanks to Ricky Francis and the Guest Relations staff (and all the other staff too), we had a fantastic time there - thank you everyone.
PS - Janet and Alan have also just been to Whitbarrow with Hilary and Paul for a week - when Ricky Francis was there - and are off to Burn Park in August for two weeks. We are off to Brunston Castle for two weeks in August! It's not that we own huge amounts of time, but it's been building up because we so often go together and only get a limited amount of holiday from work, although Janet and Alan are now retired, so have been able to use their accumulated time.’

RICKY FRANCIS WOWS THEM AT CLOWANCE
As a special introductory treat for Clowance members staying at the resort, Entertainments Manager Ricky Francis recently gave them a taste of live cabaret during the first Seasons show to be held at the new resort.
“Several people came up to me afterwards and said how much they had enjoyed it,” said the ever-smiling Ricky. “And it will be even better when Seasons invest £10,000 in the new stage and PA equipment for the restaurant area.”
Seasons members who already know the high standards of entertainment can look forward to regular cabaret at Clowance when regular bookings commence.

‘GREAT’ FLORIDA HOLIDAY
We were delighted to hear from Kelly Burson-Griffiths from the Forest of Dean what an enjoyable holiday her family enjoyed in the USA at one of our affiliated resorts:
‘My family and I went to Florida on holiday this year. It was a fantastic experience and Macaulay (9) and Rio (3) really smiled a lot, which is what we wanted – for them to be happy. We went to Gator Land for the day and Rio (pictured) sat on a gator and it started to move, so he rode a gator! Thanks so much for giving us the chance to be able to take our boys on such a great holiday and without this Seasons ownership that we have, we would not have been able to go this year. Thanks to everyone who encouraged us to purchase this membership as it is the best thing we have ever had.’
